So Joseph and Mary set off for Bethlehem
stopping for a rest every now and then.
They stopped at night and travelled all day
but when they arrived there was nowhere to stay.

They arrived at their uncles feeling stressed
"come on in Mary, come and have a rest".
The house was crowded the house was packed
so they stayed with the animals and that's a fact.

Joseph wrapped Mary in his nice warm coat
and they both lay down next to the goat.
The angels were excited they gave a cheer
they sang for joy God is near.

Well that was a surprise,
that's a surprise.
