1 Football
4 Chairs or goal markers
2 Gym mats
Two teams compete.
A goal is set up at each end made up of a gym mat and 2 chairs.
A goal keeper is appointed who defends the goal by being on their
knees. (Hence the gym mats)
The ball is placed in the middle of the hall and a coin tossed to see
which side has possession of the ball at the start.
The aim of the game is to score as many goals as possible within a time
limit. Suggest 5-10 minutes each way.
The ball may only be hit using hands. e.g. the fist
The ball may only be hit along the floor and a player should not
deliberately hit the ball in the air.
The ball shall not be kicked.
A player may not move backwards with the ball more than 2 places.
A player, except the goal keeper, may not have two hands on the ball at
a time, except to bring it down to the floor when it has been hit up
into the air.
If the ball goes behind the goal it is considered off of the field and
is given to the goal keeper at that end.
If a shot is taken at the goal and the ball is above the level of the
chair seat it is considered over and given to the goal keeper to bowl
out.
If a fowl is encountered then the ball should be given to the opposing
team as in a
"free kick".
After each goal the game starts again from the middle with possession
of the ball being given to the side the goal was scored against.
